Terms and Conditions

MVR reserves the right to refuse admission should patrons breach any Rules and Regulations of Moors Valley Railway (MVR).

MVR may on occasions have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.

We regret that normal travel tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase. Subject to conditions quoted previously. Moors Valley Railway cannot be held responsible for any tickets which are lost or stolen.

If any ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than Moors Valley Railway, it may be voided and the holder may be refused travel.

MVR operates a No Smoking policy within the buildings in accordance with current legislation, and on the train.

MVR accepts no responsibility for any personal property.

Ticket holders consent to filming and sound recording as visitors.

All of these terms and conditions are governed by English Law.

Ticket holder must comply with all relevant statutes, safety announcements and Moors Valley Railway regulations whilst travelling.

Breach of any of these conditions or any unacceptable behaviour likely to cause damage, nuisance or injury shall enable the railway to refuse to carry anyone as a passenger.

Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person. We reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased in excess of this number.

MVR does not guarantee that the trains will arrive or depart at the times stated and reserves the right to cancel, alter or suspend any train without notice, or to substitute a different engine should this be necessary for whatever reason.

Your customer details will only be used for the marketing purposes of MVR and will not be passed to any Third Party Company for marketing use. Normal Travel Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a ticket, passengers are understood to have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions.

All passengers conveyed by the company are requested to observe any safety notices, instructions issued by staff or management.

Passengers must remain seated and not lean out of the coaches.

The company accepts no liability for any loss or damage howsoever caused.

Passengers travel entirely at their own risk.

Tickets can only be refunded on the day of issue and if they are not clipped or defaced.

Child fares will only be issued for persons between their 2nd and 16th birthday.

Children under 2 years ride free, excluding Santa Specials.

Children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Day Rover Tickets are valid for unlimited travel on day of purchase only.

Concessions available for parties of 10+, on a sliding discount scale, for Return fares only.

Whilst on the premises, images may be recorded, and may be used for publicity purposes.

All rides and travel are subject to conditions on the day, such as weather, breakdown or incident.

Steam engines may occasionally be substituted with a diesel, at the Company’s discretion.

Santa Specials – Additional Terms & Conditions

Ticket holders only admitted to grotto

Tickets are non-refundable and any loss of ticket or ticket amendments will incur a £10 fee per booking.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

No concessions or discounts apply to Santa Special trains.

A normal train service will operate alongside this event, but access will not be granted to the Grotto areas.

SPECIAL EVENT & ONLINE TICKET PURCHASE POLICY

Our policies prohibit us from issuing exchanges or refunds after a purchase has been made or for lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets. When you receive your tickets, please keep them in a safe place.

We aim to post all tickets within 14 working days. If you have not received your tickets 48 hours prior to the event and are not aware that tickets are being held for you for collection at the railway, please contact us as soon as possible.

Occasionally, special event services may be cancelled or rescheduled for a variety of reasons. If the special service is cancelled by us, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the service was moved or rescheduled, Moors Valley Railway may set refund limitations. Please contact us for exact instructions.

Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number per person, per credit/debit card and for some services a restriction may apply per household. We reserve the right to cancel tickets without prior notice if purchased in excess of this limit.

For information about an order you have placed, please contact us quoting the confirmation number stated at the end of your transaction.

Moors Valley Railway reserves the right to cancel ticket bookings which it reasonably suspects to have been made fraudulently.

The tickets are issued subject to the Rules and Regulations of Moors Valley Railway.

Please check your tickets as mistakes cannot always be rectified.

Santa Special tickets are non-refundable and any loss of ticket or ticket amendment will incur a £10.00 fee per booking.

It is the responsibility of the ticket holder to ascertain whether a special service has been cancelled and the date and time of any rearranged service. If a special service is cancelled or rescheduled, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify ticket holders of the cancellation. Please note that we cannot guarantee that ticket holders will be informed of such cancellation before the date of travel
